The fatal shooting incident occurred just after 11:00 p.m. outside a home on the first block of Placid Lane in Willingboro Township, NJ.

After the shooting, someone notified local law enforcement. Cops and emergency medical responders rushed to the scene, where they found the victim lying on the ground and suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency crews transported the victim to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery. Tragically, doctors at the medical facility were unable to save the victim; he was later pronounced dead. The victim was 22 years of age at the time of his death.

Detectives with the Willingboro Township Police Department are actively investigating the shooting and trying to determine the identity of the shooter.

If police can eventually identify and apprehend a suspect in the homicide, that person would probably face serious criminal charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
