Cherry Hill New Jersey DWI LawyersA woman was allegedly Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) when she crashed into a police car on a highway in Cherry Hill, NJ.

The suspect allegedly caused the DWI accident a short time after 1:30 a.m. on Route 70 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The suspect was behind the wheel of a green 1998 Chevy Malibu and traveling east on Route 70 when she approached a Wawa on Kingston Drive. That’s when the suspect allegedly moved into the wrong lane on the highway and then slammed head-on into a Cherry Hill patrol vehicle.

The Cherry Hill police officer tried to avoid the collision, but he was unable to steer clear of the Chevy.

The car crash resulted in significant damage to both vehicles and caused significant physical injuries to both the Cherry Hill cop and the driver of the Chevy. Both victims were transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where they were treated for their accident-related injuries. Both victims were expected to survive.

Law enforcement officials said that the suspect was drunk at the time of the accident, so she now faces charges for Driving While Intoxicated. The suspect has also been cited for several traffic offenses.
