Camden New Jersey Homicide AttorneysCamden County law enforcement arrested a Camden New Jersey man who allegedly murdered a couple in April 2016.

The 37-year-old suspect allegedly committed the brutal homicides on April 4 at a house on 26th Street in East Camden, NJ. According to officials, the suspect entered the victims’ East Camden NJ home and fatally shot both of them.

The Camden County Police Department got 911 call about gunshots fired in the area and sent officers to the residence. By the time Camden cops arrived at the home, the suspect was long gone.

Emergency medical responders pronounced the victims dead roughly 20 minutes after arriving at the scene of the crime.

The victims were reportedly engaged to be married. One of them was 25 years old, while the other victim was 23 years old.

Several law enforcement agencies worked together on the investigation. The investigating agencies included the Camden County Police Department, the Pennsauken Police Department, and the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Task Force. Authorities eventually located and apprehended the suspect in Pennsauken, New Jersey.

The suspect, a Camden NJ resident, now faces criminal charges for two counts of first degree murder. Depending on the circumstances of the case and the outcome of a trial in Camden County Superior Court, the suspect could potentially be sentenced to life imprisonment in New Jersey State Prison.
