Police in Gloucester Township NJ recently arrested a man who allegedly had illegal drugs in his local residence and was promoting prostitution.
Police made the arrest during the early morning hours after getting a search warrant for the suspect’s house.
A day earlier, the Gloucester Township Police Department got a call from a 21-year-old woman who alleged that she had been sexually assaulted by the suspect.
Officials transported the woman to JFK Hospital in Stratford NJ, where doctors conducted a medical evaluation and offered her treatment.
Meanwhile, Gloucester Township police obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s home on Chestertown Road in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. The next day, a SWAT team executed the search warrant at the 62-year-old suspect’s residence.
During a search of the house, police allegedly found crack cocaine.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and charged with several crimes, including promoting prostitution, invasion of privacy, and cocaine possession.
The suspect has yet to be charged with sexual assault. However, law enforcement indicated that the investigation into the victim’s sexual assault allegations remains ongoing. As a result, sexual assault charges could be pending in the case.
