Gloucester Township Theft AttorneysPolice in Gloucester Township NJ are looking for a suspect accused of stealing an iPhone from a customer at a local store this summer.

According to law enforcement officials, the female suspect entered a Dollar Tree store in Gloucester Township on June 11 and stole someone’s personal iPhone.

After the theft was noticed, store employees contacted the Gloucester Township Police Department. Gloucester police officers investigated the theft incident but have yet to identify the suspect.

Now authorities have released video surveillance footage of the alleged theft in the hopes that a member of the public might recognize the suspect.

The footage, which was taken from inside the store as the theft occurred, shows the suspect wearing blue medical scrubs as she approaches the cash register. At the same moment, another customer was paying for an item. When the customer put her iPhone on the conveyor belt, the suspect reportedly placed white construction paper over the phone and slipped it into her pocketbook.

After completing her own purchase at the check-out register, the suspect left the store.

If Gloucester Township police can eventually identify and locate the suspect, she would probably be subject to criminal charges for theft of movable property.

Anyone who has information about the alleged theft or the suspect should get in touch with Gloucester Township investigators at 856-228-4500.
