Camden New Jersey Murder AttorneysCamden County NJ police are looking into the fatal shooting of a Camden NJ man at an apartment complex.

Camden County police got a call about gunshots being fired shortly after midnight. Residents at the Ablett Village apartments in Camden heard the sounds of gunshots.

Camden County police dispatched officers to the area. When police showed up at the scene, they discovered the 30-year-old victim unconscious and on the floor of his residence.

A short time later, emergency medical responders got to the apartment and pronounced the victim dead.

The Camden County Police Department is currently investigating the shooting and searching for a suspect. Investigators have not yet identified a suspect in the case or a motive for the killing.

If Camden police can identify and locate the suspect, serious criminal charges for murder would likely follow. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3, murder is classified as a first degree felony. A conviction for first degree murder could potentially lead to life imprisonment, with a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 30 years.
