Two Gloucester Township NJ police officers suffered injuries while trying to break up a raging house party.
The party, and the illegal incidents, happened during the early morning hours on a Sunday. The Gloucester Township Police Department was notified of a possible violent altercation at a residence on Hollywood Avenue in Gloucester Township, NJ. The home is located in the Hilltop section of Gloucester Township, New Jersey.
When police officers got to the scene, they came across a number of partygoers who were reportedly being argumentative and acting aggressively toward police.
Gloucester Township NJ police tried to subdue the three suspects, but the suspects allegedly resisted and struggled with police. A scuffle ensued, with one of the police officers reportedly suffering a hand injury. Additionally, another police officer reportedly sustained a leg injury.
Both of the injured officers were transported to a nearby hospital. They received medical treatment for their injuries and were subsequently released.
The suspects who were arrested included a 23-year-old male from Blackwood, a 24-year-old male from Deptford, and a 27-year-old female from Pennsauken.
The suspects have been charged with different criminal offenses, including aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice.
After being arrested and processed, the suspects were moved to the Camden County Jail. They were each being held at the correctional facility on separate $10,000 bail amounts.
