Police in Camden NJ recently arrested three men who were allegedly in possession of illegal weapons and drugs in their car.
The arrests were made during a traffic stop in Camden, New Jersey. According to law enforcement, a Camden County sheriff was driving around 7th Street and Linden Street in when he observed the suspects’ vehicle committing a traffic infraction. The sheriff pulled over the suspects’ car, ran a vehicle check, and ran the suspects’ information.
The sheriff soon learned that all three occupants of the vehicle had outstanding warrants for their arrests. The sheriff called for backup and then placed the suspects under arrest without incident.
Camden police investigated after the men were arrested and taken into custody. When police searched the suspects’ vehicle, they reportedly came across two illegal handguns, as well as a “substantial amount” of heroin.
Officials later learned that one of the handguns was reported stolen out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The three suspects, ages 21, 25, and 25, are subject to a number of criminal charges. All three men were charged with multiple weapons offenses, including unlawful possession of a weapon. The suspects were also charged with drug crimes that include possession of heroin.
After being arrested and charged, the suspects were transported to the Camden County Jail. The driver of the car was being housed at the jail on a $100,000 bail amount. Meanwhile, the other two suspects were being housed at the jail in lieu of separate $75,000 bail amounts.
