Brooklawn NJ Weapons Offense LawyersBrooklawn New Jersey cops recently arrested a local man accused of illegally possessing a shotgun and allegedly firing the weapon.

The Brooklawn Police Department received a number of 911 calls around just before 6:30 p.m. from residents at the Brooklawn Norse Apartments in Brooklawn, NJ. The callers told police dispatched that a man was walking around outside the apartment building and carrying a large shotgun. Witnesses also said that the suspect fired the gun and struck a car in the apartment complex parking lot.

Brooklawn NJ police officers soon arrived in the area, set up a perimeter around the apartment building, and arrested the suspect.

The good news is that nobody was hurt during the alleged shooting incident.

When law enforcement later searched the Brooklawn apartment of the suspect, they allegedly found two additional firearms.

The suspect is a 51-year-old Brooklawn man. He has been charged with several crimes, including unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a certain persons offense for being a felon illegally in possession of a firearm, and aggravated assault.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was taken to the Camden County Jail in Camden, NJ. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
