This is the 26th homicide to occur in Camden New Jersey so far this year. The victim in this fatal shooting was a 15-year-old boy who resided in Camden, New Jersey.

According to Camden NJ authorities, the victim was shot and killed on the 1200 block of Mechanic Street. The Camden County Police Department received a 911 call about gunshots being heard in the area and sent police officers to the scene.

When Camden police officers arrived in the area, they found the victim lying on the ground and suffering from a gunshot wound.

Emergency medical responders transported the victim to nearby Cooper University Hospital, where doctors attempted to save his life. Tragically, the shooting victim was pronounced dead just a few minutes after he arrived at the hospital.

Meanwhile, Camden County NJ police investigated the shooting and arrested a teenage suspect. The suspect is a 15-year-old boy who lives in Camden, NJ.

The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes, including aggravated manslaughter. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office has not yet said whether the suspect will face the criminal charges as an adult or as a juvenile.

After being processed and charged in the homicide case, the suspect was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Lakeland, NJ.
