Camden County NJ Rape SuspectCamden County police recently released a description of a man whom authorities believe committed a sexual assault of a woman in Camden, NJ.

According to law enforcement, the sexual assault occurred around 6:30 a.m. The suspect allegedly walked up to the woman on Spruce Street in Camden, New Jersey.

The suspect allegedly grabbed the victim and dragged her behind a dumpster near the Off Broadway Lounge.

Once the suspect and the victim were out of public view, the suspect allegedly raped her.

Camden County police conducted an investigation into the incident but came up empty as far as determining the suspect’s identity.

Now the Camden County Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

The suspect has been described as a Hispanic male who weighs approximately 170 pounds and stands 5 feet 7 inches tall.

When he allegedly committed the sexual assault, the suspect was reportedly wearing a white T-shirt, gray shorts, a black cap, and high-top Nike Air Jordan sneakers.

If the suspect is eventually identified and apprehended, he would probably face severe penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2, anyone who uses physical force or coercion to commit an act of sexual penetration can be charged with a second degree felony. A conviction for second degree sexual assault can lead to a sentence of 5-10 years in NJ State Prison.
